Jodie Foster's estranged father has been found guilty on 30 counts of grand theft and operating without a contractor's license as part of a property scam.
 
A Van Nuys, California jury delivered its verdict on Wednesday after a week-long trial and now developer Lucius Foster faces jail time and a hefty fine for bilking 25 investors out of their life savings.
 
Prosecutor Don Cocek tells online newspaper Sherman Oaks Patch that the Oscar winner's dad owes investors in his home building scam almost $200,000.
 
Foster allegedly offered to build 20 homes and took deposits from prospective buyers in the San Fernando Valley, and then pocketed the cash when the construction work fell through.
 
He will be sentenced on Thursday.
