The Central Perk coffee shop sofa used by the characters in hit sitcom Friends has been added to the year's most exciting memorabilia auction.

The couch and other Friends keepsakes, like the Jouets Rocking Horse print from Courteney Cox's character Monica's room and even a "cast & crew only" snow globe Christmas gift, will go under the hammer at the Profiles in History Icons of Hollywood auction later this month in Los Angeles.

Other must-have items up for grabs include the ruby slippers and Cowardly Lion costume from The Wizard Of Oz, the DeLorean sports car from Back to the Future III, Steve McQueen's Le Mans racing suit and Bela Lugosi's Dracula cape.

There are also exclusive items from the estates of movie icons Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe on the block.
