Christie Brinkley Vows To Pay Tax Debt
Christie Brinkley has vowed to settle her $500,000 tax debt by Wednesday, insisting she regrets not paying closer attention to her finances.
The one-time supermodel owes the cash to the U.S. government and she was hit with a tax lien from America's Internal Revenue Service (IRS) earlier this month.
But she insists the tax man will get his cash.
Brinkley tells TMZ.com, "I was surprised to learn of the tax lien filing and took immediate steps to rectify this matter. I discovered the tax lien was the result of an error. My taxes will be paid in full by Wednesday, December 7th and I expect the tax lien to be released immediately thereafter.
"I regret not paying more attention to my accounting."
