"Pan Am" star Karine Vanasse has sent out a mayday tweet to fans of the high-flying TV show, suggesting the period drama series about the fabled airline's jet-setting staff is about to be grounded.
The show has been a big hit overseas, but audiences have plummeted in the U.S., prompting TV pundits to predict it will be axed, and now Vanasse appears to have confirmed the news via Twitter.
She writes, "Well, we received THE call, #PanAm is only coming back for one more episode after Christmas. But up to the end, we'll give it our all!"
The actress, who plays European flight attendant Colette Valois on the show, later added, "Sorry for the confusion #PanAm fans; there are still 5 new episodes to air until February."
