Sharon Stone Sharon Stone has launched an online campaign urging her fellow Americans to welcome home military personnel when they return from war zones.

The Basic Instinct star created the Welcome Home Our Troops page on Facebook.com to serve as a community bulletin board for users to thank troops for their hard work.

Employers can even use the site to offer jobs to the thousands of veterans arriving back in the U.S. after completing their duties.

Stone is also calling on the country's biggest retailers to provide discounts for brave soldiers.

She says, "It's very important that people know that their country is behind them. With all of this negative chatter in the governmental races, we need to have our actual country say what they feel in loving, really vocal terms."

"I'd like to see like big stores like K-Mart and Target offer 30 per cent off for veterans."
