Culture Club Reuniting For New Year's Eve Bash Down Under
Boy George's 1980s hit-makers Culture Club have reunited for the first time in 10 years ahead of a New Year's Eve show in Australia.
The gender-bending singer and band mates Roy Hay, Mikey Craig and Jon Moss have regrouped in the studio ahead of the Sydney Resolution Concert Series, which will also feature performances from Jamiroquai and the Pet Shop Boys.
Hay tells Australia's Channel Seven, "Last time we got together was 10 years ago, so it takes that long to recover from the last time we worked with each other."
And the get together will result in new material: "That's the thing that makes us want to come back and do it, is to write new songs and put some new material out as well as play the old ones."
Boy George adds, "The nostalgia thing is OK but it's a bit limited so for us to come and do this and enjoy it; we need to kind of do something new and incorporate the two things - the past and now."
