John Leguizamo has joined the fight for marriage equality by shooting an advertisement to rally support for new legislation.
 
The star recently sat down to shoot a video for the Human Rights Campaign's Americans for Marriage Equality and in the short clip Leguizamo asks fans to stand behind gay couples and acknowledge their right to legally wed.
 
He says, "Loving, committed couples should be able to marry the person they love and protect their families. And nothing is more important than family. And nothing says family like marriage. So please join me and the majority of Americans who support marriage equality."
 
Mo'Nique has also added her voice to the awareness campaign.
