Hugh Jackman Breaks Theater Record
Hugh Jackman is a Broadway record breaker - his new musical show has smashed one-week grosses at the Broadhurst Theater.
Ticket sales for Back on Broadway raked in over $1.2 million last week, beating previous records set by Billy Crystal's "700 Sundays," Jude Law's "Hamlet" and "The Merchant of Venice," starring Al Pacino.
Tony Award-winner Jackman officially returns to the New York stage for a 10-week engagement on November 10.
In the show, the movie star performs a personal selection of his favorite musical numbers accompanied by an 18-piece orchestra.
