Rage Against The Machine star Tom Morello has landed a special O Music Awards honor for performing at the Occupy Wall Street protest in New York.
The rocker made his voice heard in the campaign against corporate greed and social inequality, and MTV bosses have created a special trophy for him ahead of their second annual ceremony on Monday night.
On landing the Most Memorable OWS Performance prize, Morello says, "It's an unusual title for an award, but it's an award that is for the worldwide rebels who are now occupying 1,300 cities around the planet."
"The one thing that all the Occupy cities have in common is everyone pitches in and cooperates. I'm a musician, so I pitched in and played."
