Jennifer Tilly Sues Jewelry Store Over Ring Purchase
Actress Jennifer Tilly has filed suit against the bosses of a Los Angeles jewelry store, alleging she was overcharged by more than $50,000 for a gold ring.
The Family Guy star claims she bought a $15,000 band from the prestigious Maxfield accessories shop in April, but later discovered she had been billed $69,500, plus tax.
Tilly returned to the store to dispute the amount, but alleges the managers rejected her claims - and now she's taking legal action.
In court papers, Tilly has demanded store chiefs refund the full amount she paid for the ring, according to TMZ.com.
