Billy Bob Thornton's football movie "Friday Night Lights" is set to be remade with a heavy slant towards the cancelled TV series it spawned.
The critically-acclaimed spin-off, starring Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton, picked up a Best Writing honour at the Emmy Awards last month, and now actress Britton has revealed there are plans to make a second Friday Night Lights movie.
She tells UsMagazine.com, "It's happening for realsies (real). (Director) Pete (Berg) is totally fired up to do it and I know Jason Katims is talking about writing a script. I think it's really a matter of... getting everyone's busy schedules aligned and making it happen. It kind of feels like there's a lot of commitment to it."
Berg's "Friday Night Lights" movie, which starred Thornton as the coach of a Texas high school team, hit cinemas in 2004.
