Ryan Gosling is eager to cut down on his busy work schedule so he can settle down and start "making babies."
The hunk, 30, admits he's been putting his career above his personal life for too long, blaming the pressure of Hollywood for his failed romances with "the greatest girlfriends" Rachel McAdams and Sandra Bullock.
He tells Britain's The Times newspaper, "I had two of the greatest girlfriends of all time. I haven't met anybody who could top them.... Showbusiness is the bad guy. When both people are in show business it's too much showbusiness. It takes all of the light, so nothing else can grow."
Gosling has since been romantically linked to sexy Latina Eva Mendes, but the actor insists he is "in a committed relationship with film", adding, "I'm giving as much to it as a marriage."
However, the star would love nothing better than to start a family.
He laments, "I'd like to be making babies but I'm not, so I'm making movies. When someone comes along I don't think I'll be able to do both and I'm fine with that. I'll make movies until I make babies. I have no idea when the handover will happen."
Gosling dated Bullock in 2002, while he parted from his "The Notebook" co-star McAdams for good in 2008. The couple enjoyed a brief reunion after initially splitting in 2007 after two years together.
