Jennifer Lopez has teamed up with the brains behind Ugly Betty to create a new TV series.

Silvio Horta, who was executive producer and head writer for Ugly Betty, will write the pilot for Lopez's as-yet-untitled family show, which centers around three sisters and their Latino family.

Both Horta and Lopez will serve as executive producers for the FOX series.

It is not the only project TV Lopez is currently involved with - she is also working on Latin talent show Q'viva! The Chosen with her estranged husband Marc Anthony and she has signed up to judge a second season of American Idol.
