Keith RichardsKeith Richards' memoirs are heading for the big screen.

The Rolling Stones legend has given the greenlight to adapt his tell-all tome Life, which became a best-seller after its release last year, into a movie.

He confirmed the news at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London on Tuesday, where he was named Writer of the Year for his explosive memoir.

However, the guitarist admits it will be a struggle to cast an actor to fill his shoes.

He tells Britain's Daily Telegraph, "There are feelers out at the minute (but) I'm in no rush right at the moment. Also, how are they going to find me? The idea of a succession of Keith Richards coming down is horrifying."
