Country star Kenny Chesney has brought forward a show in Foxborough, Massachusetts after experts predicted a hurricane would hit the area this weekend.
Hurricane Irene has been lashing the Caribbean since the start of the week and is set to head up the East Coast in the coming days.
It is expected to hit the north-eastern state of Massachusetts on Sunday so Chesney has hastily re-arranged his gig at the Gillette Stadium to ensure his fans stay safe in the storms.
He says, "I want the last weekend of the Goin' Coastal tour to be a great experience for everybody. But I also want it to be the safest experience for everyone. I've always said Foxboro (sic) is a highlight of our tour, because the fans are ready for a great night of music and fun no matter what night it is!"
Sunday's show has now been moved to Friday, while Saturday's gig remains as scheduled.
