Actress Heather Locklear is engaged to wed actor Jack Wagner.

The former Melrose Place star began dating the 51 year old in 2007, shortly after she divorced Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora, the father of her 13-year-old daughter, Ava.

Locklear's representative confirmed the wedding news to People.com.

It will be the actress' third marriage - she was also wed to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee from 1986 to 1994.

The engagement is an early birthday surprise for Locklear - she will celebrate turning 50 in September.
