Adam SandlerAdam Sandler's publicist has dismissed reports the actor/movie mogul reneged on a deal with a small restaurant to cater two meals for the cast and crew of his latest film.

The owner of A Taste of Italy in Massachusetts claims Sandler's company, Happy Madison Productions, made a deal with him to cater for two big BBQs following a meal at the restaurant.

However, the big meals never happened and he was left $2,500 out of pocket, prompting him to slap a poster on his shop window, stating, 'Adam Sandler ate here and never paid.'

Nonetheless, representatives for The Wedding Singer star, who is currently filming nearby, tell TMZ.com that no promises were made to the restaurant owner.

They also insist that Sandler never ate at A Taste of Italy.
