Sheryl Crow is selling off her beloved vintage car to raise funds for victims of the tornado-hit city of Joplin, Missouri.
The singer has donated her 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Roadster to auction house Gooding & Co., with proceeds from the sale going to help rebuild the devastated city's schools.
Crow says, "After the tornado in Joplin I was moved to help rebuild a city so close to where I grew up in Missouri. My hope is that the auction of my 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Roadster will bring in funds to help rebuild the schools in the area."
The car, which the musician bought in 2005, is estimated to bring in from $50,000 to $100,000 when it goes under the hammer next month.
Joplin was left ravaged in May after a massive twister ripped through the city and claimed the lives of more than 120 people.
