Singer Nick Lachey was left breathless when he first caught a glimpse of his wife-to-be Vanessa Minnillo on their wedding day last week.
 
The pair exchanged vows on Friday in a romantic tropical island ceremony in front of just 35 friends and family.
 
But it wasn't the idyllic surroundings which left Lachey speechless - it was the moment Minnillo arrived in her bridal gown.
 
He tells People.com, "It literally took my breath away. It's a moment you fantasize about, and I was certainly not disappointed."
 
Minnillo reveals she demanded a traditional ceremony and customs, despite the beachside setting: "I wanted to be in that long traditional wedding gown with heels and I wanted my groom in a tux and shoes and not barefoot on the beach. There was just something so timeless, beautiful and romantic about having that element of a traditional wedding."
