A producer is suing over the big-screen adaptation of Rock Of Ages, alleging he is owed more than $400,000 for work on the film.
The Broadway musical is heading to cinemas in a new movie with stars including Tom Cruise, Russell Brand and Catherine Zeta-Jones leading the cast. The production is currently filming in Florida.
However, Carl Levin of Eleven Entertainment, who helped conceive and produce the Broadway show, is suing over claims he signed a deal to produce the movie version for New Line Cinema, but was not kept on.
He is demanding his share of the $1.25 million production deal from his former business partners Matt Weaver Scott Prisand, according to Reuters.
The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday and demands more than $400,000.
