Former addict Mackenzie Phillips is set to help other troubled drug users by training as a rehab counselor.

The actress, who spent years battling substance abuse issues, is in the process of qualifying as a certified drug and alcohol rehabilitation counselor, according to TMZ.com.

Phillips is set to use her own experiences to help others in need and her progress will reportedly be captured in a new reality TV show called No Relapse.

Phillips is currently halfway through the licensing program.
