Tyler and Cameron WinklevossOlympic rowing stars Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss have dropped their court appeal of a settlement with Facebook.com founder Mark Zuckerberg.

The partnership which led to the legal wrangle was documented in acclaimed 2010 film The Social Network.

The Winklevoss twins, who were portrayed by Armie Hammer in the film, claimed they were shortchanged in a $65 million settlement with Zuckerberg in 2008 because Facebook.com had misrepresented the value of company stock.

In April, a federal appeals judge rejected the argument.

The Winklevosses asked Zuckerberg to help them write the coding for a social networking site they were developing at Harvard University in 2003.

A year later Zuckerberg launched thefacebook.com, which his business partners alleged was created using their ideas.
