Colombian pop superstar Shakira is heading to Israel next week to highlight the importance of education for children across the world.
The UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and Hips Don't Lie hit-maker has been invited to attend the Israeli Presidential Conference in Jerusalem, where she will be a featured speaker at the three-day Facing Tomorrow 2011 event.
Shakira has been working to improve education and nutrition for kids from impoverished areas in Colombia, South Africa and Haiti via her Barefoot Foundation.
She will take part in the Conference's opening discussion, entitled My Recipe for a Better Tomorrow, on Tuesday, alongside a panel which also includes Jewish comedienne Sarah Silverman.
The Israeli Presidential Conference is expected to draw more than 3,500 attendees from the worlds of science, culture, economics, politics, education and philanthropy.
