Filmmaker Catherine Hardwicke is considering selling off the bed on which Twilight lovers Edward and Bella shared their first kiss to raise cash for charity.

The director took the bed home after shooting wrapped on the first film - and she still owns the iconic piece of bedroom furniture.

But it could belong to a fan if Hardwicke agrees to auction off the item to the highest bidder.

She tells HollywoodLife.com she will sell the bed to benefit the Step Up Women's Network if fans "showed enough demand for the item."
