Justin Timberlake is using interviews promoting his new movie to expose his own "Bad Teacher," who suggested he quit songwriting.
The singer/actor teams up with ex-girlfriend Cameron Diaz in the film - about a foul-mouthed, lazy schoolteacher who just dreams of seducing a rich man and quitting her job.
And although Timberlake's unnamed seventh grade teacher wasn't that bad, she did give him a hard time over his songwriting dreams.
He explains, "She told me I should have more realistic goals than being a songwriter, because my schoolwork was suffering. You can quote me on this directly to her: 'Suck it!'"
But Timberlake insists he was also blessed with great teachers - and he believes they are the ones who should be paid well for their efforts: "We got to find a way to pay teachers more. They have such a huge responsibility and they're under-appreciated and underpaid. They're like surrogate parents away from home. The teachers that we learned the most from were the ones who taught us life lessons."
