Bono And The Edge To Perform On 'American Idol' Finale
U2 rockers Bono and The Edge will introduce their Spider-Man musical to the U.S. by performing with the cast on the upcoming American Idol finale.
The Irish musicians have created the score for Spider-man: Turn Off The Dark and recently went back to work creating new songs for the soundtrack as the troubled production underwent a major revamp.
They were rumored to be performing with the full U2 line-up on the conclusion of the American Idol talent contest on Wednesday night, but they have now confirmed they will be appearing with the cast of the Broadway show instead.
A post on the band's official website reads, "Bono and Edge will appear alongside Reeve Carney, who plays Peter Parker, and cast members from Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark which is set to open on Broadway, June 14."
