"Glee" star Lea Michele has backed Pamela Anderson's campaign to have horse-drawn carriages banned from New York City after seeing the animals' plight during filming of the hit TV show in Manhattan.
The actress/singer has been in the Big Apple over the last week filming scenes for the musical series' upcoming second season finale.
Animal rights activist Anderson has also been in New York promoting her drive to replace Central Park's famous carriages with classic cars - and Michele gave the star her full backing.
In a message sent to Anderson on Twitter, Michele writes, "I'm in NY (New York) right now and it is devastating to see these horses on these busy streets at all hours. Wish this would end... It's near 1am now and these poor horses are lined up in the center of Time Square (sic)... against all the traffic, noise, fumes, and people... I love New York but this is no place for a beautiful horse."
