Jennifer Hudson Gets A New Hairdo; Gets Her BAFTA Award Back
Jennifer Hudson sported a new hairdo outside her London hotel on Thursday. The former American Idol contestant wore a new seventies-inspired layered haircut and was in town to promote her new studio album, "I Remember Me."
While in the city Jennifer was reunited with her long lost BAFTA award, five years after the trophy went missing in the mail.
The singer/actress won the Best Supporting Actress prize at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards in 2006 for her role in Dreamgirls, which subsequently won her an Oscar.
She was unable to attend the London ceremony to pick up the statuette in person, so organizers sent the award on to America - but the trophy never arrived.
Hudson appeared on Britain's The Graham Norton Show on Friday night and she spoke of her disappointment about never receiving her BAFTA, telling the host, "I never got it... it got lost in transition coming over to the States. It's missing, I'm looking for it. It's been years, too long. I wanna see it, I wanna hold it in my hand."
Norton then asked Hudson to jokingly re-enact the prize-giving, and stunned the star by pulling the long lost trophy out and presenting it to her - and the gesture left Hudson fighting back tears.
She said, "It that it? Is that my BAFTA? Are you serious? Really? You (will) make me cry!". She then fanned her eyes as she struggled to hold back tears before kissing the trophy and adding, "Oh! Thank you!"
