Liev Schreiber will be the toast of the 25th anniversary Israel Film Festival next month as he is honored with a top prize.

The Defiance actorwill be handed the IFF Achievement in Film Award in recognition of his Hollywood career, which has seen him star in over 40 movies.

Festival founder Meir Fenigstein says, "Liev Schreiber is the perfect choice to receive this award as he is one of the most admired and respected actors working today. His incredible work in an impressive variety of films has entertained and inspired audiences worldwide."

Producer/director Micha Shagrir will receive the IFF Cinematic Achievement Award at the event, which kicks off on May 5th in New York.
