Vanessa Hudgens has laughed off rumors she has found love again following her split from Zac Efron, insisting she is just "friends" with actor Josh Hutcherson.

The High School Musical sweethearts ended their five-year romance last year with Hudgens blaming the break-up on their hectic work schedules.

She was recently linked to her Journey 2: The Mysterious Island co-star Hutcherson after they were spotted attending a party side-by-side and spending time together.

However, Hudgens is adamant they are not a couple, telling TV host Ellen DeGeneres, "I'm single."

And when DeGeneres pressed Hudgens and showed her a picture of Hutcherson, she replied, "Can't a girl have friends?... Aww, I love him. We just did a movie together and we had the best time."
