Lady Gaga To Receive Style Icon Award
Lady Gaga has been named this year's recipient of the Council of Fashion Designers of America's (CDFA) Style Icon Award. The pop superstar will be honored at a gala in New York in June.
CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg and executive director Steven Kolb announced the nominees and honorees for the annual prizegiving on Wednesday.
Designer Marc Jacobs will be honored with the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award. He has also been nominated in the Competitive Womenswear Designer of the Year category.
Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen will also be among the designers hoping for a prize - the twins were nominated in the Emerging Talent category.
