"Twilight" stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have been evacuated from Vancouver Island in Canada in light of the tsunami warnings issued after Friday's earthquake in Japan.
More than 20 countries and islands in the Pacific Rim, including Hawaii and the entire North American West Coast, have been placed on high alert after Japan suffered a massive 8.9-magnitude tremor and devastating tidal wave.
The Twilight stars have been shooting Breaking Dawn, the next installment of the vampire franchise, on Vancouver Island beach, but movie bosses halted production and moved the entire cast and crew out of the area on Friday as a safety precaution.
A representative for Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the franchise, tells MTV News, "Due to the tsunami advisory, filming of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" has been delayed. All cast and crew were evacuated to base camp. Everyone is safe and sound."
