22 Oscar nominees, including The King's Speech star Colin Firth, The Kids Are All Right's Annette Bening, The Fighter's Melissa Leo and Helena Bohnam Carter (also The King's Speech), sat down for W Magazine editor Lynn Hirschberg in her EMMY and ASME-nominated Screen Test video series conducted with the periodical's usual monthly cover subject.

For the annual February "Movie Issue" this year's biggest nominees took part in the series and gave some interesting and revealing info about their parts in this year's biggest films.



Colin Firth recalls playing Jack Frost when he was only five years old, and his attraction to "quiet heroes" like his character in The King's Speech:

 

Annette Bening discusses her early theater roles and "dressing sexy" for an audition:


 

Helena Bonham Carter compares her role in The King's Speech to the role of the Red Queen in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. She's also a big Jane Seymour fan, too:

 

The Fighter star Melissa Leo will always consider Mark Wahlberg and Christian bale to be her sons:
