Newlywed country singer Kellie Pickler decided to elope and ditch her big wedding plans at the last minute after realizing she couldn't stand half of the people on her guest list.

The former American Idol star secretly exchanged vows with her songwriter beau Kyle Jacobs on January 1st in Antigua. And Pickler admits it was the thought of sharing her special day with so many people she despised that sent her running off to the Caribbean.
 
She tells talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, "We were almost finished with the wedding planning. And every time we got to the guest list, it was like, 'Oh my God, I hate half these people.' Nothing personal."

However, the singer insists she has no regrets: "I packed the wedding dress and packed him (Jacobs) an outfit. We totally just put faith in God that it was all going to work out, and it did, and it was the most incredible day of my life."
 
The couple began dating in 2008.
