Deep down, the world's biggest pop superstar of the moment, Lady Gaga, is really quite normal and doesn't let her fame go to her head.
The Italian singer, born Stefani Germanotta, explains to Contributing Editor Jonathan Van Meter in the March issue of Vogue Magazine that she's a family gril at heart and that nothing changed since her rise to superstardom. She even calls home every day.
"I am a real family girl. When it comes to love and loyalty, I am very old-fashioned. And I am quite down-to-earth for such an eccentric person,” she says.
The star, who has played piano since age four, holds nothing back when speaking of her talent.
"I think I am a great performer. I am a talented entertainer. I consider myself to have one of the greatest voices in the industry. I consider myself to be one of the greatest songwriters," she shamelessly says; adding, "I wouldn’t say that I am one of the greatest dancers, but I am really quite good at what I do."
Gaga even had time to record a new album during her Monster Ball tour, which has been going on since February 2009. "Born This Way," the title track and first single from the album was released just over a week ago; and she admits that with the tour finally nearing its end (it'll wind up in Mexico City on May 6th), she's pretty wiped out.
"Let's call a spade a spade here. I am really f---ing tired," she says.
