Prosecutors To Decide If Mel Gibson Should Face Criminal Charges
A seven-month extortion investigation connected to leaked phone conversations between Mel Gibson and his ex-girlfriend has concluded, and now Los Angeles prosecutors must decide if either should face criminal charges.
Gibson claimed Russian musician Oksana Grigorieva tried to extort millions from him by threatening to go public with the recorded phone conversations, in which the angry actor/director hurled abusive and foul language at his ex after she announced their romance was over.
Gibson is already accused of domestic violence after a fight between the former couple at his Malibu, California home in January, 2010.
Grigorieva faces a tough prison sentence if she's convicted of extortion.
