Rocker Fred Durst is set for a bizarre new honor after leading a new poll to rename a Texas trash department.

Officials at the Solid Waste Services Department in Austin, Texas asked locals to vote for a more interesting name - and the Limp Bizkit frontman is leading the pack.

As a result the department looks set to be revamped as the Fred Durst Society of the Humanities and Arts.

Durst's candidacy has attracted over 11,000 votes. His nearest competition has attracted less than 1,000.

The new name will be confirmed and announced in April.
