Neil Young To Be Honored At Juno Awards

Neil YoungRocker Neil Young is to be honored in his native Canada for his humanitarian efforts.

The singer/songwriter has been named the recipient of the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award at this year's Juno Awards.

The honor is given to prominent musicians who give time, money and energy to charitable causes.

Young was selected for the honor primarily because of his work in co-founding the Farm Aid concert series in 1985, and founding the Bridge School for kids with severe speech and physical impairments.

A five-Juno winner in the past, Young will collect his latest honor at the ceremony on March 27.

Past recipients have included Bryan Adams and Sarah McLachlan.
