Talk show host Montel Williams is in trouble with tax officials after allegedly failing to hand over $1 million in payments.
 
The TV personality has been hit with a federal tax lien by bosses at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in connection with his 2008 and 2009 individual tax returns.
 
According to the papers, filed with the New York City Register and obtained by TheSmokingGun.com, Williams and his wife, Tara, owe payments totalling $1.04 million for the two-year period.
