Mike Epps Sued By Cameraman Over Bar Brawl
The Hangover star Mike Epps is facing a lawsuit from a videographer who alleges the funnyman assaulted him during a night out last year.
Epps clashed with cameraman Douglas Thornton during his wife's birthday bash at the Key Club in Detroit, Michigan on November 27th and security officers were forced to interfere when a brawl broke out.
According to TMZ.com, Thornton has now filed a $1 million lawsuit against the actor in Michigan, claiming he was subjected to a "brutal beating" at the hands of Epps after the videographer was physically removed from the club.
The legal documents state Thornton was covering a public event when the incident occurred. They go on to allege "members of Epps' entourage fired several shots at Thornton who ran for his life."
Epps previously claimed he was provoked in the brawl, telling TMZ.com, "It was a private celebration for my wife's birthday. I asked the photographer numerous times not to film, but he refused to let up. I then attempted to retrieve the tape from the camera."
