Rap star Waka Flocka Flame remains in jail on drug and gun charges after waiving his right to a court hearing on Tuesday.
The Onion Booty hitmaker, real name Juaquin Malphurs, surrendered to Atlanta-area police on Monday after an arrest warrant was issued for the star, stemming from a December 16 raid on his Georgia home.
Two others were arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession during the raid and Malphurs' associate Gucci Mane was briefly handcuffed during the incident. Police issued a warrant for the rapper's arrest because he was not home at the time.
Malphurs is facing a number of gun and drug charges including possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, while he is also accused of breaching the state's anti-gang laws and violating his probation for allegedly driving on a suspended license.
Henry County police say he waived the right to a hearing on Tuesday.
Malphurs' attorney, Ted Johnson, says he hopes the probation violation charge is resolved this week so the rapper can be released.
