Zooey Deschanel Files Suit Against Shoe Designer
Actress Zooey Deschanel has filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against a shoe company alleging she signed a deal to promote the brand, but wasn't paid for her efforts.
The (500) Days of Summer star lodged papers at Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, claiming her agent brokered a $2 million endorsement deal with Steve Madden to become the face of the footwear firm.
The contract was later amended to a $1.5 million pay out, but the actress alleges she has yet to receive any money from the company.
Deschanel's lawsuit is seeking the $1.5 million plus interest and legal costs, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
