Malin Akerman To Replace Lindsay Lohan As Linda Lovelace
Watchmen star Malin Akerman is gearing up to play porn legend Linda Lovelace in an upcoming biopic after Lindsay Lohan left the project.
The actress has been cast in Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story by director Matthew Wilder, who dropped Lohan last week citing difficulties securing insurance for the troubled star. In a post on his Facebook.com page, Wilder writes: "We are so honored to have Malin and know that she will kill it."
Production on the movie was delayed earlier this year after the Mean Girls star was imprisoned for breaching her probation over the summer.
Shooting was expected to begin this month but was once again stalled when Lohan was ordered to continue receiving treatment at California's Betty Ford Clinic until January.
