Jessica Simpson flashed her stunning ruby and diamond engagement ring while visiting the CBS "Early Show" in New York City today.

The singer/actress just announced her engagement to former NFL star Eric Johnson. The star allegedly bought the ring for herself since her fiance reportedly couldn't afford it.

The couple got engaged a mere three days Simpson's ex-husband, singer Nick Lachey announced his engagement to long-time girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo, complete with a pretty hefty engagement ring.
