Pop superstar Christina Aguilera has split from her husband Jordan Bratman after almost five years of marriage.

The Beautiful hit-maker wed the music executive in November 2005 and they are parents to two-year-old son Max. A source tells UsMagazine.com the couple has been "separated for a few months."
 
The insider adds, "They are now living apart, and they will see how that goes. They are very much in love. But over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife."

Aguilera's marriage breakdown is the latest in a spate of celebrity splits - on Monday, actors Courteney Cox and David Arquette announced they were taking a break from their 11-year union, while singer Ben Harper filed for divorce from his actress wife Laura Dern on Friday.
