Just like a handful of other newcomers to pop music at the turn of the century, Christina Aguilera was another innocent diva from a child-star background. While lyrics hinted at impure thoughts, they were mostly harmless and secondary to love and slumber parties. 

Aguilera's fashion has changed as much as her music has - can you even recognize her in the photo above?!  Always compared to her contemporary Britney Spears, Aguilera quickly made a change to "dirtier" looks and music. 

The transformation was brief, and once she got "Back to Basics" she has created a look she has since maintained: a classic blonde with deep red lips.
