Funnyman-turned-TV host George Lopez and his wife Ann are to divorce.
 
The couple has been married for 17 years and has a 15-year-old daughter, called Mayan.
 
Sources tell TMZ.com the Lopezes split earlier this year.
 
The pair hit the headlines in 2005 when Ann Lopez saved her husband's life by giving him one of her kidneys.
 
She told reporters, "George, he comes from a very dysfunctional family, a horrific childhood. It was hard for him to accept that someone would give him the gift of life."
 
The Lopez Tonight host added, "I was crying. I thanked her and I told her I loved her. I was more concerned about her than I was about myself."
