Foxy BrownRapper Foxy Brown has avoided another jail term - officials have dropped charges against her following an alleged altercation with a neighbor.

The hip-hop star, real name Inga Marchand, was arrested and charged with public lewdness and harassment after a run-in with Arlene Raymond in New York in July. Raymond, who had previously obtained a court order against Brown, claimed the rapper violated the ban by becoming involved in a heated argument with her before baring her butt.

However, on Tuesday a grand jury at Brooklyn Criminal Court failed to indict Brown on two felony charges, and three out of four misdemeanors. Brown tells the New York Daily News, "I'm so happy, I'm just very happy. Never once did I worry about this."

The rapper is still facing one charge of criminal contempt, but her lawyer, Salvatore Strazzullo, insists she will only receive community service for the misdemeanor, adding: "Mooning is not an aggravated act."
