Jennifer Aniston has a new reason to smile after she was spotted on a romantic dinner date with her Cougar Town co-star Josh Hopkins.

The former Friends star is believed to have first met Hopkins after agreeing to take on a guest starring role in her pal Courteney Cox's sitcom. And the actress seems to be hitting it off with Hopkins - the pair shared an intimate conversation over a two-hour dinner at Italian restaurant Madeo in Beverly Hills on Thursday.

A source tells People.com, "She seemed very excited about her date. She and Josh sat at a more private table and they seemed to get along great. It was obvious that they don't know each other well, but there was a flirty energy between them and Jen looked very happy... Jen has been in the best mood lately. She is trying to do whatever makes her happy, which includes going on fun dates with interesting men."

Aniston has previously been linked to rocker John Mayer and funnyman Vince Vaughn since divorcing Brad Pitt in 2005.
