With international aid slowing down, Angelina Jolie has made a plea to the international community to help Pakistan after floods ravaged the country and killed over 1,700 people.

Jolie, who serves as a goodwill ambassador in the U.N., appeared in black and red robes and a headscarf - the traditional conservative outfit for Muslim women in Pakistan.

She says, "There are people displaced by the floods, and they have lost their homes - the flood water was as high as this ceiling... many of them lost their children during the floods, so there is irreparable damage. And here we have people displaced by the conflict, wars.

"It's [about] how we prepared we are and how we address them... and when we do address them, we understand they are not fleeting situations when the headlines go away and when the media goes away."
